If only you could skip straight to the enjoyment and avoid the tedious and sometimes dangerous task of designing, installing and maintaining your holiday decor. Good holiday lighting takes time, physical ability, design capability and knowledge of electrical capabilities things that many of us do not have.

"Seasonal businesses have discovered this unique business niche that serves their needs, and closely relates to their normal business,” said Shawn Kravitsky co-owner of Christmas Decor in Larksville, a holiday and event decorating franchiser. "There are many reasons why a person cannot do their own decorating and a professionally-trained company can take the burden off of them.”

Kravitsky notes that there are a number of reasons why people choose to have their homes and businesses decorated by a professional company.

"Some people lack the physical ability or don’t have the technical knowledge, but most simply don’t have the time to do the type of first-class job they imagine,” Kravitsky added. "They want a great-looking finished product, whether it be for entertaining guests, an early gift for their family or to create a more ‘welcoming’ environment for customers in their business, they find that the best way to accomplish this is to contact a professional."

Safety is another major concern. According to the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission, 8700 people per year are treated in emergency rooms for injuries, such as cuts, shock or falls, that are related to holiday lights, decorations and Christmas trees.

"The true players in this industry are bonded, trained professionals who know the hazards of the trade,” Kravitsky added. "They take preventive measures against accidents, such as safety training and using proper tools and procedures. But, even then, accidents happen occasionally, and the fact that they are bonded protects both them and the home or business owner.”

Kravitsky also recommends early planning.

"Whether you plan on installing your own decorations, or having it done, it’s always better to make your arrangements early," Kravitsky said. "Retail stores tend to get low on the popular products as the season hits, and professional installers usually start booking their installations in early October.”

All decor is included in the service package. With Christmas Decor’s Service One program, you’ll never own old, worn-out decor again! With our program, decor is automatically replaced when it needs to be - and you will have the flexibility to change colors upon renewal!

There is no extra cost. Is there a cost to store our lights for next year?

The new Christmas Decor program is all-inclusive—one price for everything.

Is there a labor warranty just in case the lights stop working or there is a problem?

With Christmas Decor’s Service One program, maintenance is included in the price. We will also conduct proactive service visits throughout the holiday season to make sure your program looks like it did the day we installed it.

Is there a difference between your lights and the ones I can buy at my local retailer?

Absolutely! Our decor is manufactured to our specifications—longer-life bulbs and extra fullness on all of our greenery. We also feature UL-rated, outdoor extension cords, a variety of property-friendly installation accessories and commercial-grade specialty décor. You won’t find better quality anywhere!

Will you install lights that we already own and can you store them as well?

No, we cannot warranty the quality or workmanship of lights we do not provide.

Will we need to hire an electrician?

In most cases, no. But with larger installations, additional power sources may be needed.

Do we need to be home for the installation?

Not for exterior installations. Our trained installation crews are efficient "elves”, and can complete an installation whether you are there or not.

Who do we contact for service should there be a problem?

You will be provided with contact information for a service representative. We also provide proactive service calls during the season.

How far in advance do we need to contact you to get a bid and have the work done?

Contact your local service provider as early as possible. The decorating season is short, and our schedules tend to fill up by mid-November.

Can we determine the time that you take the decorations down?

Yes. A Christmas Decor representative will work with you to schedule a takedown appointment that is convenient for you.
